In the heart of Marholmen is our unique Art Nouveau villa from 1915 - Villa Berg. The villa can be rented for private meetings, conferences, corporate events, weddings, private celebrations or family gatherings with room for 18-20 people.

Our history since
1900
Marholmen is a historical site created by wholesaler Nils Berg in the early 20th century, together with his wife Hanna. In 1913, they decided to donate their beloved island Marholmen to build a rest home for working class women here .

Spring seems a long way off today, doesn't it? But as all gardeners know, it is important to plan well in advance and here on the island the preparations are already in full swing. 🌷
Now the bulbs are in the ground in Beda's Flower Meadow and outside Villa Hanna we are planting period perennials that probably grew there when the villa was completed in 1905.
We leave the sunflowers over the winter for the sake of hungry birds. 🌻

Please note that the Winter Table is not to be confused with a traditional Christmas table, but is served in bites and not as a buffet.
