More about the offer
Marholmen a long and proud tradition as a retreat for working men and women. In 1912, Nils and Hanna Berg donated the island to the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) to provide working women and their spouses with an opportunity to rest. A few years later, the facility was expanded to include an adult education center here on the island.
In 1983, the Swedish Municipal Workers' Union purchased Marholmen the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) to build a recreational facility for its members. You can read more about Marholmen's history here.
We’re keeping the tradition alive, and even today, as a member of Kommunal, you’re warmly invited to book a well-deserved break at Marholmen discounted rates all year round. This offer also applies to members of SKPF, the Swedish Municipal Pensioners’ Association.
