More about the offer
Marholmen has a long and proud tradition as a rest home for working women and men. In 1912, Nils and Hanna Berg donated the island to the Swedish Trade Union Confederation to give workers' wives and wives the opportunity to rest. A few years later, the activities were expanded to include a Folkbildningshem here on the island.
In 1983, the Swedish Union of Municipal Workers bought Marholmen from LO to build a leisure facility for its members. You can read more about the history of Marholmen here.
We are carrying on the tradition, and as a member of Kommunal you are still welcome to book a well-deserved rest at Marholmen at favorable prices all year round. The offer also applies to members of SKPF, the Swedish Association of Municipal Pensioners.

25% discount on accommodation in a hotel room with breakfast & spa entrance.
The discount applies to hotel rooms with breakfast and entrance to Mareld Spa regardless of when you book. Please note that we have an 18-year limit in the spa.
25% discount on accommodation in Cabin, Villas or Pitches only
No matter when you book, you always get a 25% discount on accommodation in our Cabin, villas and pitches.
50 percent discount on accommodation only in hotel rooms, Cabin or villas
When you book at the last minute, i.e. at least 7 days before arrival, you can stay for half the price!
Conditions
- You must present a valid membership card at check-in.
- The offer is valid only on regular prices and cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions or offers.
- Maximum of two Cabin at member discount per stay.
- As a member, you must book your own accommodation, so you cannot book for someone else.
- Please note that we have an 18-year age limit in our spa with some exceptions that you can read about here >>
