Marholmen is an island connected by a bridge, located about ten kilometers south of Norrtälje and about seventy kilometers north of Stockholm. From Stockholm, this means about an hour's drive. If you're coming by car from Stockholm or Uppsala, simply take the E18 towards Norrtälje and turn right towards Kapellskär just before the Norrtälje city limits. After about five kilometers, turn right again at Vreta Handel towards Furusund, and after about six kilometers, follow the signs to Marholmen Hotel & Conference.
Parking
All guests enjoying Marholmen's offerings and facilities by staying at the hotel, in the cottages, villas, glamping tents, or motorhome pitches, dining at the restaurant, conferencing on the island, or visiting Mareld Spa, get free parking in designated areas. Please note that you always need to register your vehicle at the reception.
If you're just visiting the island for a walk, to take your dog out, or for a swim, you can pay for parking using the Aimo Park app.
If you've booked one of our cabins, feel free to drive up to it when you arrive to unload your car. Afterwards, park in our large free parking lot or the parking space belonging to the cabin. For those who have booked Villa Berg, Grosshandlarvillan, Villa Viken, Villa Ekbacken, or Gula villan, there's a private parking spot right by the villa/house. Don't forget that if you're staying or are a temporary guest at Marholmen, you always need to register your car at the reception when you park on the island.
Charging Stations for Electric/Hybrid Cars
We have several charging stations for electric and hybrid cars, managed by Aimo Park. They are easy to use, but if you run into any issues, you can find user instructions for them here.
You can pay using Aimo Park's app, which you can download from the AppStore or Google Play.
Travel by public transport from Stockholm to Norrtälje and then to Marholmen.
Take bus 676 from Östra station to Norrtälje bus station, where you'll change to bus 632 towards Yxlan. Get off at Marholmen's crossroads; from there, it's about a two-kilometer walk to us.

The Boat Route from VAXHOLM to MARHOLMEN
Follow the old Furusundsleden route, which goes north over Trälhavet and continues in a North-Easterly direction.
Ljusterö will be on your Starboard/Right side and the mainland on your Port/Left side.
About 3.5M north of Ljusterö and Siaröfortet, at VÄXLET North and South lighthouses,
turn Port/Left and follow the route in a North-Easterly direction, passing under Svartnöbron.
Continue along the route up to Norrfjärden.
Turn Port/Left at the Southern tip of Djurlingsö and follow the land on your Starboard/Right side.
After 1.2M, turn towards South-West and then continue in a Westerly direction, South of Strömsholmen.
Continue until you reach Marholmen's jetty on your Starboard/Right side.
Feel free to moor with your own anchor at our guest pier – we use bow mooring to make sure as many boats as possible can fit!

The Boat Route from FURUSUND to MARHOLMEN
Set an East-Northeasterly course from the northern tip of Furusund. Pass between Svartnö and Stomnarö and head towards Norrfjärden.
Turn Northwest towards Djurlingsö.
Turn Port/Left at the southern tip of Djurlingsö and follow the Starboard/Right shore.
After 1.2M, turn Southwest and continue in a Westerly direction, South of Strömsholmen.
Continue until you reach Marholmen's dock on your Starboard/Right side.
