At Grosshandlargården you really feel the wings of history. Imagine that here the students sat in one of Sweden's first folk schools (folk education home) and they lived in the boarding school across the courtyard, where we today arrange parties and events of all kinds.

Since the early 1900s, play dates and festivities have been organized at Grosshandlargården. Today, companies and groups can rent Grosshandlargården for an unusual conference, dinner or party.
The beautiful old folk education home Grosshandlargården, with room for up to 50 seated guests, has been carefully renovated to preserve its unique character and history is constantly present - in both large and small ways.

Here you can buy coffee, ice cream, wraps, waffles and much more. We are open every day from 10-17 until August 13. Don't miss visiting Grillhuset, right next door. Here we serve burgers, fries and ice cream every day from 12-16.

Did you know that we have two large party rooms here on the island? In Grosshandlargården and Strandpaviljongen we can accommodate up to 80 guests, in an incomparable archipelago environment. If guests want to stay overnight, it's no problem - we have almost 400 beds to choose from!
