Marholmen's Policy on Special Diets for Groups

Our booking terms and conditions outline our policy regarding special dietary requests. In short, we’re happy to accommodate all requests—but special dietary requests beyond the basic level will incur an additional charge.

Definition of special dietary needs = any food that has been modified or adjusted from the food served to the entire group. Special dietary needs thus include medical and allergy-related diets, as well as ethical or religious diets, lifestyle diets, and personal preferences.

Why is a special diet policy needed?
The reason we have a policy is that:

– We want to be able to offer all guests an equally delightful dining experience and high-quality food—regardless of whether they have special dietary needs or not

– We want to avoid anyone getting sick from being served food they can’t tolerate.

– We want to reduce food waste through a structured approach – as this can be a greater risk factor when it comes to special diets.

  • We want to provide excellent service and give our guests the opportunity to choose whatever they prefer—but requests beyond a certain basic level come at a cost.
