Tips for what to bring to the villa you've rented:

  • Basic groceries like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, coffee filters, etc. Our restaurant is just a stone's throw away, and we offer a takeaway menu if you don't want to cook yourself. For much of the year, you can also get a Dinner box, prepared by our chefs and finished cooking in your cottage.
  • Paper towels/wet wipes & toilet paper (one toilet roll is provided in the villa)
  • Personal toiletries
  • Kitchen towels
  • Bath towels for outdoor use
  • Firewood and a lighter if you want to light the fireplace, in case there's one in the villa you've rented. Also available to purchase as an add-on to your booking or on-site.
  • Lighter fluid, charcoal/wood, and a lighter if you want to barbecue at one of our designated grilling spots – these are also available for purchase on-site.
  • Candles if you want to make it cozy in the evening – just remember to blow them out before you go to bed :)
  • Bikes, if you'd like to take a spin around the island on our car-free paths or head out on a cycling adventure
  • Other things that can make your stay even better: Good clothes for outdoor activities, suited for the weather, picnic blanket, swimwear, fishing rods (you can also buy them here), football and other sports equipment depending on the season.

If you forget anything, we have a small shop in the hotel. A five-minute drive from Marholmen, you'll also find the grocery store Tempo Vreta Handel.

DO I NEED TO BRING BED LINEN AND TOWELS?
When you book a villa, bed linen and towels are included.

IS CLEANING INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
When you rent a villa, final cleaning is included in the price.

IS BREAKFAST OR OTHER MEALS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Normally, breakfast isn't included if you've rented a villa, unless you've booked a package that includes breakfast or if you're staying as part of a conference or corporate event. What's included in the price will always be stated in your booking confirmation.

IS THERE WIFI IN THE VILLA?
Yep, there's free wifi in all villas.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS TO THE VILLA?
Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks if you've rented a villa. Of course, you can also choose to add breakfast and other meals at our restaurant, use our Dinner box & takeaway service, or visit our bar.

CAN I BRING MY DOG TO THE VILLA?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in any of our villas. However, we have several cabins and hotel rooms where dogs are welcome.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE I CHECK OUT?
Throw rubbish, empty glasses etc. in the recycling station at the parking lot, fill the dishwasher and turn it on. Take an extra turn and make sure that all windows are closed, that the heaters are at 20 degrees, that any parasol is folded down and that you have not forgotten anything.

WHERE DO I THROW THE GARBAGE?
At the large parking lot there is an environmental / recycling station where you throw your sorted garbage, empty glass etc. before you leave the house.

Terms and conditions for guests at Marholmen

– You must be at least 18 years old to book/enter into an agreement with Marholmen.

– As a guest at Marholmen, you agree to show consideration for our other guests and staff by following the rules, instructions, and regulations that apply on the island.

– You're responsible for any costs related to damages to the property or its furnishings, false fire alarm call-outs, and so on, if you or anyone in your group has been negligent.

– If complaints about disruptive behavior are reported to Marholmen, we have the right to immediately evict the guest from the accommodation/area if the behavior is not corrected immediately after being asked. In such a case, no refund will be issued for the remaining stay.

– If you're not happy with our service, please contact the reception first so any issues can be resolved during your stay.
