Patrik Johansson is the new hotel manager at Marholmen

Marholmen is now taking Marholmen step toward putting this small island in Roslagen on the map. “Together, we will Marholmen Sweden’s most obvious year-round Marholmen ,” says Patrik Johansson, who has taken over as the new hotel manager.

Marholmen in the Roslagen archipelago, just outside Norrtälje, and offers a wide range of activities year-round. The 34-hectare island features a hotel, cottages, historic villas, glamping, conference facilities, a spa, a restaurant, campsites, banquet halls, hot tubs, a sauna, and docks.

“I am incredibly pleased to have been entrusted with this role and look forward to driving Marholmen development Marholmen together with all employees and a management team with solid experience in the industry,” says Patrik Johansson, hotel manager at Marholmen.

Throughout history, people have come to Marholmen relax and unwind. In 1913, Nils and Hanna Berg donated part of Marholmen the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) to provide working-class wives and female workers with a place to rest. Today, Marholmen is owned and managed Marholmen the Swedish Municipal Workers’ Union.

Even as a child back home in Finland, Patrik dreamed of becoming a hotel manager, and after several years in the restaurant industry, he began studying Hotel Management at the Frans Schartaus Business School in Stockholm. Since then, Patrik has worked as Front Office Manager at the Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden, where he was also responsible for Revenue Management.

“Given all the unique things Marholmen to offer its guests, I didn’t hesitate for a second when I was asked to join this exciting journey. The kitchen and cooking will always be close to my heart, but the hotel is where I belong. Now it’s as if I’m getting the best of both worlds,” Patrik concludes.
