Marholmen an island in the Roslagen archipelago, an hour’s drive from Stockholm and Uppsala. People have been coming here to relax, learn, and enjoy themselves for over a century. In 1913, wholesaler Nils Berg and his wife Hanna donated part of Marholmen the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) to give working-class wives and female workers a place to rest. Today, the island attracts guests from near and far to stay, dine, meet, swim, visit the spa, or simply enjoy the beautiful archipelago setting.
