Marholmen is an island in the Roslagen archipelago an hour's drive from Stockholm and Uppsala. People have been resting, educating and enjoying themselves here for over a hundred years. In 1913, wholesaler Nils Berg and his wife Hanna donated part of Marholmen to the Swedish Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) to give workers' wives and women the opportunity to rest. Today, the island attracts guests from near and far to stay, eat, meet, swim, go to the spa or just be in the beautiful archipelago environment.
